DescriptionJacobs gets eviction notice for Moline legislative office

State Sen. Mike Jacobs, D-East Moline is facing eviction from his Moline office because the state hasn't paid the rent.

Illinois also is behind on State Rep. Mike Boland's office, but he hasn't yet received an eviction notice.

Rep. Pat Verschoore, D-Milan, rents an office in the Rock Island County Administration Building. His rent has been prepaid, he said.

Other area agencies are also feeling Illinois' penny pinch. The Martin Luther King Center in Rock Island relies heavily on funds from the Illinois Department of Human Services. Although executive director Jerry Jones said th
