| Description | DENVER - Former Colorado Governor Bill Owens and his wife, Frances Owens, are divorcing after 32 years of marriage -- and nearly three years after the couple reconciled following a separation.
A statement released to Denver newspapers Wednesday called the decision "private and mutual," and said the couple will remain friends.
The two separated for 20 months beginning in 2003, with then-Governor Owens moving out of their Centennial home and into the Governor's Mansion.
They reconciled in May 2005, and neither has publicly stated why they separated. |
