Description | Democratic House contender Darcy Burner had a near-miss in her 2006 House challenge in Washington’s 8th District, as the first-time candidate lost to Republican Rep. Dave Reichert by a margin of just 3 percentage points. But it appears that strong debut may not earn the former Microsoft Corporation product manager a reprieve from a primary challenge next year as she seeks a rematch in the suburban Seattle district.
Two Democratic state lawmakers, state Sen. Rodney Tom and state Rep. Christopher Hurst, are considering running against Burner, according to political blogger David Postman at The Seattle Times.
