| Description | Former 11-term Congressman Jim Hansen threw a new dynamic into the already free-for-all governor's race Thursday when he confirmed he will file his candidacy within two weeks.
"I want to wait until the [Federal Elections Commission] reporting period is up Sept. 30, so there is no confusion with my congressional account," Hansen told The Salt Lake Tribune. "Then, on Oct. 1, I plan to go up to the Capitol and file my papers" to form a gubernatorial campaign committee.
