| Description | Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele turned down an invitation to appear on a national television show today with Democratic Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin in what would have been the first joint appearance by the two U.S. Senate candidates since Tuesday's primary elections.
Doug Heye, spokesman for the Republican candidate's campaign, said Steele is "continuing his conversation with Maryland voters" on his bus tour that made stops in Aberdeen and Chesapeake City today.
