Description | Word on the street is that Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom will face a primary challenge. Sources say that Surfside Beach Town Councilman Bill McKown will run against Eckstrom. While I’ve heard that he met with several different political consulting teams, apparently he is signing with Robert Cahaly and Bonnie Blue Public Relations. There was also talk that McKown considered a run for a different statewide post prior to settling on the Comptroller General’s office and that he is prepared to spend some of his own money in the race. |
