Description | The state Democratic Party on Sunday slated Gov. Rod Blagojevich and all of its other statewide officeholders for re-election in 2006 and backed a Downstate county prosecutor for state treasurer, the only office now in Republican hands.
Knox County State's Atty. Paul Mangieri, 46, who previously lost a state Senate race, told the Democratic State Central Committee he was "intolerant of corruption" and had successfully prosecuted Republican and Democratic officials since winning the office in 1996. |
