Description | FRANKFORT, Ky. -- A day after issuing pardons to aides and anyone else who might be charged with illegal hiring practices, Gov. Ernie Fletcher made a brief appearance a grand jury Tuesday then said he wanted to put the investigation behind him.
"I would like this to be a new day," Fletcher said at a press conference back at the Capitol. "I would hope now that we can focus on doing the people's business."
Fletcher said he gave his name, address and occupation to the grand jury, but answered no other questions. |
