Description | Huntington Herald-Dispatch article.
An excerpt..."West Virginia began a new chapter of its political history on Nov. 2, and the state’s Democrats and Republicans alike are trying to learn its lessons.
The discord threatening GOP Chairman Kris Warner underscores the trouncing of his brother, the party’s candidate for governor, and the less-than-expected gains in the House of Delegates. As they sift through the election results, several GOP officials have called for Warner’s ouster.
Democrats appear to have the larger homework assignment, however. They suffered the sizable defeat of John Kerry and losses in the Supreme Court and secretary of state’s races. They also watched their dominance of the Legislature and the voter rolls erode." |
