Description A new poll of voters by SoonerPoll.com shows two things..Tom Coburn with a slight lead over Brad Carson in the U-S Senate race and negative campaigning is hurting both.
SoonerPoll.com says a telephone survey of 500 statewide likely voters reveals the race is actually neck and neck. Republican candidate Coburn has 38%. Brad Carson, the Democrat who's trying to jump from the US House to the U-S Senate and replace retiring Senator Don Nickles, has 36.8%. Independent candidate Sheila Bilyeu received 5.8% while undecideds total 19.4%. While Coburn grabbed the lead in SoonerPoll.Com's poll for the first time since September, his lead is within the margin of error of 4.4%.
The political polling group says the negative campaigning is hurting Carson and Coburn.
