| Description | Eleven people were killed today and at least 30 injured in a suspected car bomb attack in central Baghdad, while attackers killed the governor of the northern city of Mosul after ambushing his convoy.
The blast in Baghdad hit a checkpoint close to the former Green Zone, where the US and British embassies and Iraqi interim government are based, sending clouds of thick black smoke into the air. |
