How do I get authorization to enter election statistics?

When people first join OC, they are not able to enter election data. The current process requires a person to participate in the discussions for several weeks to give others an opportunity to assess who the person is. In the final sense, the website owner (Randy) grants access to enter data when he feels that a person has shown maturity in prior postings.
While this process appears problematic at first glance, we have learned the hard way that caution in granting access is warranted. Please bear with the community and share what you have in messages until access is granted.
