Libya's Prime Minister leads a Tripoli-based provisional government called the Government of National Unity (GNU) with limited to non-existent powers outside of the capital. The Prime Minister nominates a cabinet of ministers with the consent of Tobruk House of Representatives (HoR). The GNU’s mandate ends on December 24, 2021.
