Description This riding takes in the southwest corner of Regina (the area west of Albert Street and south of the CP Rail line), plus the area south and west of that city. Outside of Regina, the major population centre is Moose Jaw.

One-sixth of the population are older than 65. Immigrants make up about seven per cent.

The riding of Palliser depends on agriculture and the service sector. Regina's airport is in the northeast part of the riding. The average family income was $64,416 in 2001, and unemployment was 5.9 per cent.

Palliser was created in 1996, with most of its residents coming from the old Moose Jaw-Lake Centre and Regina-Wascana ridings.
