InfoVince is involved in many recreation groups and community events and believes strongly in district activism and relationships with local officials. After being elected, Councilman Gastgeb promptly opened two district offices staff by senior citizen volunteers to further expand constituency services. Councilman Gastgebs background in sales, marketing and community service will assist him during his first term.

When not performing the duties of a County Council member, Gastgeb is a Regional Sales Manager for Hillshire Farms and Kahns. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Bethel Park with their four beautiful children, Michael, Corey, Kelly and Lauren. Councilman Gastgeb is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh as well as continuing education programs at the Katz Graduate School of Business.

Councilman Gastgeb provides the County Council with a business perspective that fits well with the background and experience of his colleagues. His commitment to bipartisanship and public service has also made him an effective voice for the district he was elected to represent. It is this commitment that turns his attention to key issues affecting his constituents and people throughout the county. Councilman Gastgeb has taken a strong interest in property tax reform, the Allegheny County parks system, safety issues, and job growth in the region.

In 2001, Chief Executive Jim Roddey appointed Councilman Gastgeb to serve on the Southwestern Pennsylvania Planning Commission. Councilman Gastgeb has made it a priority in focusing on infrastructure, road improvements, traffic safety and job growth and looks forward to combining alike initiatives within the County and the SPC.
