Info | Earl C. Ryan was born in Humeston, Wayne County, Iowa, on July 10, 1896, and passed away in Des Moines on May 17, 1953.
He was graduated from Humeston High School, the State University of Iowa and Drake University. In 1925 he was admitted to practice law.
Mr. Ryan married Miriam Piper of Des Moines, Iowa, December 27, 1925. To this union three daughters were born, all of whom survive him.
Mr. Ryan served as Assistant Secretary of the State of Iowa and was an attorney in the corporations and securities departments of the state from 1930 to 1942. From 1942 to 1946 he served as Assistant County Attorney of Polk County.
Mr. Ryan was a veteran of World War I.
He was a member of the Episcopal Church and several fraternal organizations.
He served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives in the Fifty-fourth and Fifty-fifth sessions of the General Assembly.
