I was born into a family deeply rooted in public service in a small and economically disadvantaged community in Puerto Rico. I attended public school and began my career when I was a teenager, a commitment I upheld both before and after my time at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, where I started studying a BA in Political Science.
My father served the public for over 25 years, setting an example of selfless service. My mother, a single mother who passionately championed family values, left a lasting impact on my life. Her battle with cancer, which she fought for a year before passing away on August 30, 2022, profoundly influenced my sense of purpose.
Raised by my 17-year-old mother and my 80-year-old great-grandmother, I learned the values of self-reliance, personal responsibility, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
At the age of 24, I made the decision to choose North Carolina as my new home. Since then, I've been actively engaged with communities.
Today, Raleigh is my home, where I live and work. I make myself available to stand up for you, advocating for genuine issues and offering solutions for our communities, neighborhoods, and our country.
