| Info | Ted was born in Won Ju, South Korea and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He moved to Clive in 2006 and
currently serves as a residential real estate agent for RE/MAX Concepts in West Des Moines. Prior to
2008, he worked at Alliance Data Systems, an information technology provider for utilities and
municipalities, as the Director of Strategic Partnerships in charge of managing all aspects of key vendor
relationships.
Since beginning his real estate career in 2008 he has been a national top 20% producer every year, is a
member of the lifetime Re/Max Hall of Fame, and is one of the top agents in the Des Moines Area
Association of Realtors (DMAAR). He has served on the DMAAR Board of Directors starting in 2016,
including many years on the Executive Board of Directors, as well as President of the Des Moines Area
Association of Realtors from 2021-2022.
Education
Indiana University – Bachelor of Arts with a major in History, 1993 Clemson University – Master of Arts in
History, 1996 Keller Graduate School of Management – Master of Information Systems, 2003
Military
Ted spent over 12 years in the U.S. Army National Guard and Reserves in the states of Indiana, South
Carolina, and Iowa. As a captain in the Field Artillery he’s served in numerous positions including Fire
Support Officer, Fire Direction Officer, Signal Officer, and Battle Captain. He was also an honor graduate
of the Ft. Sill Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course in 1996.
Ted has served on the Clive Citizen’s Budget Committee as well as the Clive Parks & Recreation Board and
was appointed to the City Council in July 2010 and re-elected to full terms in 2011, 2015, & 2019. He is a
member of multiple Board of Directors for local organizations such as the Metropolitan Planning
Organization (MPO), Des Moines Area Association of Realtors (DMAAR), Des Moines VA Real Estate
Professionals, and Walnut Creek Baseball.
Ted and his wife Connie have three sons, Brady, Kyle, and Jack, and have been residents of Clive since
2006.
