| Info | Born in Warwick, Rhode Island on August 11, 1960, Edward S. Inman, III was raised and educated in the Town of Coventry.
Upon graduating from Coventry High School, he acquired two degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in social science and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Rhode Island College.
Driven by an appreciation of education and history, Edward S. Inman, III became a teacher for the Cranston School Department, where he taught social studies to 8th graders at Western Hills Middle School.
After he applied his social science degree in teaching, Edward S. Inman, III was prepared to exercise his political curiosity. His fondness of history inspired an interest in politics and in 1986 he was elected to the position of State Representative, District 41.
While in the Rhode Island General Assembly he has helped pass legislation strengthening education, reducing the legal blood alcohol level to .08, and attaining more aid for Coventry schools, elderly residents and roads. In 1999, Representative Inman was appointed to the position of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Additionally, Representative Inman has also worked to preserve the Big River Reservoir and fend off attempts to install a landfill in his hometown.
He has served on numerous committees, including: House Corporations, House Health, Education, Welfare, the Water Resources Board, and the American Polish Cultural Exchange Commission. Outside of the Assembly, he founded the Coventry and East Greenwich Hockey Team, and is President of the Coventry High School Alumni Association and a member of the Coventry Jaycees.
Edward S. Inman, III is married to the former Kelly O'Shea and the father of Sarah, age 4, and Hannah, age 2. Residing in Coventry, the town in which he grew up, Edward S. Inman, III and his family live at 27 Maplewood Drive.
