InfoAdam Paul is a native of Lakewood, Colorado and a dedicated public servant. He has served on the Lakewood City Council for the last eight years, following six years on the Green Mountain Water and Sanitation District Board. His responsive leadership style, business acumen and forward-thinking vision make him the ideal candidate for Mayor.

Adam learned early in life that service to the community is everyone’s responsibility. His father, Don, was a Lutheran minister and his mother, Maggie, was a public elementary school teacher. They left behind a legacy that continues to inspire Adam in his daily life and public service.

Adam attended Jeffco Public Schools and is a graduate of Green Mountain High School. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado.

Growing up in Lakewood, Adam spent countless hours playing in the gullies that line the area. Adam rode his bike at the original sports cycle park, now Solterra. He played soccer and baseball at Beech Park. Today, he stills enjoys the diverse recreational opportunities Lakewood provides including golfing at Fox Hollow and hiking on Green Mountain’s many trails.

Adam is proud to have the support of Mayor Murphy and Congressman Perlmutter- two great leaders for Lakewood
Adam learned the value of hard work when he was a teenager in Lakewood washing dishes at Café Jordano and working at the Green Mountain Texaco Xpress Lube for Ed and Diane Rhodus. In 2002, he started his own business, Colorado Corporate Car, an executive transportation service. Adam’s perspective as a small business owner is invaluable to him on City Council – he knows that small businesses are the backbone of the community. He is Vice President of the Colorado Limousine Association and has previously served as president. He has also represented his industry on the DIA Ground Transportation Advisory Committee and continues to serve on the Taxi Limousine Commission.

During Adam’s last eight years on City Council he has worked hard to make Lakewood a better place to live, work and play. He increased transparency by putting the city checkbook online and making it easily accessible to all citizens, worked with the Beech Park neighbors and Jeffco County Commissioners to protect a piece of open space slated for development, brought to fruition Lakewood’s first community garden at Ute Trail Park and practiced fiscal responsibility by increasing Lakewood’s reserves through cost savings every year he has served on Council. Adam is currently Mayor Pro Tem and previously served as Council President.

Former Jeffco Clerk and Recorder Pam Anderson proudly supports Adam Paul for Mayor
Adam is an active member of the community. He serves on the boards of Lakewood on Parade, Eaton Senior Communities and is a member of The Action Center’s Capital Committee. He is Lakewood’s representative to the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation and has served on the City's Legislative, Budget and Audit Committees, represented the City on the Joint Project Review Committee and the Rooney Valley Association and served on Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG).

Adam was honored to be awarded Elected Official of the Year in 2011 by The West Chamber and in 2013 by the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation.
