Info | Alonzo K. Vickers was born on September 25, 1853 in Massac County. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1886 - 1888. In 1891 he became a Circuit Court Judge for the First District, a position which he held until 1903, when he joined the Appellate Court. He remained on the Appellate Court until June 18, 1906, when he joined the Illinois Supreme Court. Judge Vickers served on the high court until his death on January 21, 1915, acting as chief justice in 1910. He was a member of the Masons, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias, and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
