Erin Zweigart was born in Sparta, Ill. and resides in Evansville, Ill. She graduated from Belleville Area College, now called Southwestern Illinois College, in 1996 with an associate's degree in political science.
She received a bachelor's degree in 1998 in political science from Southern Illinois University and a law degree in 2002 from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, Calif.
Zweigart is a licensed attorney in California and Illinois. She is an associate at David Hicks & Associates in Maryville, Ill.
From September 2000 to November 2001, she worked at the library in Placentia, Calif., where she was a tutor in English as a second language.
