Due to the death of my father my mother had to go on public assistance, and growing up in this system I saw how it made it hard for women to go from welfare to work. My mother would not have been able to do so if she did not have the help of women mentors to bridge that gap between welfare and work.

This is an educational volunteer program that promotes the importance of education and parental involvement.
BUFFALO SOLIDER MENTORING PROGRAM
Helped organization provide an alternative program to gangs for inner-city youth and the history of the Buffalo Solider, sought and found funding for the continued growth and development of the participants.

A national contest to find a mother that excelled in providing mentoring and program instructions to young women and on the importance of health through sports and academics in their life.
