George M. Burditt, Of Counsel to Bell, Boyd & Lloyd's Food, Drug and Device Law Group, is recognized as one of the nation's leading authorities on food, drug and medical device law.

Mr. Burditt has counseled many of the nation's Fortune 500 companies on food, drug and medical device issues. He has represented clients in regulatory, compliance and enforcement matters in every FDA District Office and FDA Center and in 50 federal and state courts throughout the nation.

Mr. Burditt served as the General Counsel of the Food and Drug Law Institute for 25 years, and was an Adjunct Professor of food and drug law at Northwestern University School of Law for 30 years. He has authored over 200 articles, speeches and papers. He has been recognized with numerous industry honors and awards, including the top awards of the Food and Drug Law Institute, the Association of Food and Drug Officials and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.

The AFDO scholarship, rooms at the Food and Drug Law Institute and Harvard Law School and a street in Chicago have been named after him. He was an Illinois State Representative for eight years and was the Republican candidate for the United States Senate in 1974.
