| Info | First elected in 1993, Larry McCormick was re-elected in 1997 and 2000.
He has served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-food and is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food. He has also been an active member on the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development.
His interest in small business and rural issues led him to take part in the Access to Capital by Small Business Task Force. He has also served as chair of the Liberal Rural Caucus.
Founder and owner of McCormick's Country Store, he is equally well-known in the riding for his extensive community involvement. He was co-founder of the Camden East Harvest Festival, Founding Charter Board Member of the Camden East Community School, and served a term as Chair of the Camden East Public Library Board. His community spirit was recognized in 1986 with an Air Canada "Heart of Gold" Award.
He and his wife, Reta, have one child.
