Info | Paul Doyle is the State Representative from the 28th District in Wethersfield. The fifth term Democrat is House Chair of the Banks Committee and also serves on the Judiciary and Transportation committees.
In 1997, Paul was selected as a Toll Fellow-a program that honors and acknowledges 40 individuals nationwide for their outstanding achievement and service to state government. Prior to his success as a state legislator, Paul was heavily involved in politics and government both at the state and local level.
In the mid-eighties, Paul worked on the Democratic State Central Committee in Hartford as an executive assistant. Locally, Paul served as the Wethersfield Town Treasurer for two years before being elected to the Wethersfield Town Council in 1991. Paul was re-elected to the Wethersfield Town Council in 1993. While on the Town Council, Paul was Chairman of the Transportation, Refuse Disposal and Ambulance Committees in addition to acting as a liaison to the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce.
Paul holds a bachelor's degree in History from Colby College and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford. Paul also attended University College Galway, in Galway, Ireland, and the University of Notre Dame Law School in London, England.
Paul has practiced with various law firms in Connecticut and currently is an attorney in private practice in Wethersfield.
