Info | Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Adam Hyde developed many passions as a young child which would carry him on a long journey across many lands before returning to the city that he cherished as a boy. During Adam’s 3rd Year of university, he decided to spend a year abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Although very passionate about Canada, by living in a foreign country he became fascinated and engulfed in another culture. Upon graduation in 2003, the son of a local business owner spent over 3 years as an unofficial Canadian ambassador to Japan teaching English and immersing himself in Japanese culture. In 2006, Adam returned to Canada where he worked as an editor in Toronto’s Financial District for 2 years. Following his tenure in Toronto, Adam and his wife briefly returned to Japan to study another semester in a Japanese Language School. Since 2009, Adam has been working in his family business in the Travel & Tourism Sector in Niagara Falls. Founded in 1975 by his father and mother, Adam hopes to pass the torch to the next generation of his family one day.
Why Are You Running?:
Adam Hyde has decided to run as the Ontario Libertarian Party Candidate in Niagara Falls for the October, 2011 Election because he is confident that Ontario is a great place to live and would like to improve the economy for everyone. Having resided in another G-8 Nation, Adam has first-hand experience of what it is like to live in another Constitutional Monarchy, with slightly different laws than Canada. As an MPP, Adam would like to end the near government monopoly that currently exists in Ontario on many goods and services. By allowing private businesses to compete with the government, Libertarians believe that the quality of current services provided only by the government would greatly improve. Ontario is a slumping economy and as such private companies would create more jobs, more tax revenue and above all more choice for all residents of Ontario. On October 6, choose choice, vote for Adam Hyde, member of the Ontario Libertarian Party.

Issue Details:
I am quite concerned about the future of Ontario. With almost half of every tax dollar being allocated for health care, increased wait times and hospital closures, the current system is on the fast track to collapse completely. The reality is that the current system is grossly mismanaged and we need to allow private companies to compete. Ironically, this would actually help improve the public system through tax revenue. Many other countries such as Japan have allowed for more competition and have improved the quality of health care of which I have first-hand experience
