Info | I've been a painter and a musician for over 30 years. Obviously ,as both a visual artist and a musician, intellectual freedom ,the right to create what I want the way I want is very important to me. I've had to work many low paying jobs to support my craft. At various points in my life ,I've been a construction worker ,courier ,warehouse worker ,line cook and a day labourer . I'm currently working part time as a temporary labourer as I work on completing the debut album for my latest musical endeavour , NueRrOn, an electronic industrial project. Libertarianism is a natural outgrowth of my desire to create what I want the way I want it created.
Why Are You Running?:
I've travelled around a lot ,seen how people live here and in other countries ,and heard whats important to them. Along the way ,as I strove to manifest my creative visions as I saw fit , I discovered the writings of John Stuart Mill ,Frederic Bastiat ,Thomas Jefferson ,Benjamin Franklin and Ayn Rand as well as many others . All of them were advocates for intellectual freedom and individual rights.Through this journey I've come to realise that intellectual freedom is not possible without physical freedom and physical freedom is not possible without economic freedom. All are inter-related and co-dependent upon each other. You cannot have one of these without the others. Without economic freedom ,the right to dispose of the product of your labour ,how free are you physically? If you are not free physically ,how free is your mind if it is restricted from physically embodying and bringing into being that which your mind conceives? Libertarianism is a logical result of my desire to create and to keep the results of that which I have created. If anyone reaches into your pocket or goes into your home and takes that which your mind has concieved and created through physical action ,you are no longer free. The ony legitimate purpose of government is to uphold laws that prevent that from happening both internally, by our fellow citizens, and externally by foreign countries. As soon as government steps beyond that role it becomes the most dangerous of all agressors against the very people its supposed to defend.

Limited Government
Issue Details:
Telling others what to do 'for their own good' is never for their own good. The only legitimate function of government is to prevent the use of force from being initiated against its people. The moment government steps beyond that role, government becomes the aggressor. When we accept government funds, taken from others without their consent, we have in essence sold our right to choose for ourselves. We become the property of the government. The government now has the right to tell a person what to put in their body, what to say and think, how to say it, where to do so and how to get there to do so. All of this is done in the name of protecting the interests of the taxpayers. It's the oldest trick in the book for a reason - it works. I don't care how it's phrased: slavery is never noble in any form - regardless of what deceptive slogans one uses to conceal it. Taxation is slavery that pretends to be freedom as it buys us with our own money.
