Info | Clarence E. Moullette was an employee of the Mayor Camden who ran for the US House in 1958.
Moullette was born in 1897 in Cumberland WI. He attended local schools and served in the Marines during World War I. After the War, he worked for the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad; in 1923, he was injured in an accident and lost the lower portion of his left leg and some fingers on his right hand. He took several college courses before leaving the railroad in 1935.
Moullette was an employee of the City of Camden from 1935 to 1952, holding posts such as secretary and deputy director of the City Planning Commission and of the City Defense Council. He also worked for the highway and finance departments.
After leaving Camden government, Moullette lived in Florida and Louisiana briefly. He returned to Camden in 1953 and worked as inspector of construction for Havens & Emerson, consulting engineers. He oversaw the construction of the new sewage plant in Camden NJ. Upon its completion, Moullette moved back to Louisiana for two years.
Moullette was a contender for the Democratic nomination for US House in 1958. After the death of his wife in the 1960s, Moullette moved to Pullman WA where he died on 1/20/1972.
