Info | William Leslie Gunn, Jr., also known as Bill Gunn, is an American politician, activist, and business owner from Massachusetts. He is a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in the 2010 congressional elections. He is running as a Republican against Democratic incumbent John Olver to represent the state's first congressional district.
A resident of Ware, Massachusetts, Gunn owns a roofing business and is a project manager for the Palmer Community Development Department, administering federal Community Development Block Grants. He is a local political activist and a member of the Western Massachusetts branch of the 9-12 Project political movement.
On March 21, 2010, Gunn was arrested in Washington, D.C. when he and another protester interrupted a House debate on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Gunn yelled "Kill the bill!" into the congressional chamber from the visitors' gallery, prompting his arrest. He was brought to court, charged with a misdemeanor disruption of Congress.
