Attended Thurgood Marshall Extended Elementary School and Spingarn Senior High School–both part of DCPS system.
Graduated Valedictorian from Spingarn & summa cum laude from Delaware State University (B.S. Business Management).

DEDICATION

Resigned from Nike, Inc. to work as a community organizer in the Brookland Manor community of Northeast D.C.
Created the Nike Product Creation Experience (NPCE)—a grassroots program that teaches inner city youth aspect of the product creation process and provided mentorship.
Honored after 18 months at Nike for business & community contributions by being awarded the "Nike Black Employee Network Person of the Year Award."

SERVICE & LEADERSHIP

Currently serves as President of the Gateway Community Association located in ANC5B.
Served on numerous community taskforce initiatives.
Celebrated for coordinating community service efforts such as marches for the homeless, toiletry donations for battered women shelters, and distributing Thanksgiving baskets to less fortunate Ward 5 residents.
Designed and supported Operation Truancy–promoting regular school attendance and scholastic achievement.
Guided initiatives such as Young Men Making Moves & the Young Adult Corps Career Development Program.
Created Brentwood ROC (Reclaiming Our Community) which mobilizes & empowers residents to bring about positive change in their community.

PRIMARY ELECTION 2010

Ward 5 Council candidate in Primary Election 2010.
Came out second against legacy incumbent Harry Thomas Jr.
Youngest candidate to be endorsed by the Washington Post for local office.
