Info | Linda Weber is a mother, community leader, and businesswoman who has shattered glass ceilings in banking and technology. Linda is the eldest of six children. Her parents instilled in her a commitment to service and standing up for herself and others. From circulating a petition at age 9 that required her family’s church to allow girls to be altar servers to fighting for equal pay while working at a technology company, Linda has maintained a lifelong commitment to leadership and advocacy.
A trailblazer in finance and technology, Linda built some of the first customer online banking platforms in the United States. Over her 30-year career, she started and turned around businesses within the Fortune 500 and founded two startups. Currently, she is a Senior Vice President at IDB Bank in New York City where she founded the institution’s Corporate Cash Management and online banking business. Prior to joining IDB, Linda held senior executive positions in banks and software companies including Fiserv, Inc., CoreStates Bank, and Chase Manhattan Bank. At CoreStates, Linda had the distinction of being the youngest woman ever to be promoted to Senior Vice President. At the time, she was also one of the youngest SVPs in banking in the country. Her successes did not go unnoticed; in 1997, she was featured on the cover of the American Banker newspaper while pregnant – another first.
Linda’s commitment to service makes her one of the most active community leaders in New Jersey’s Seventh District. For five years, she was Chair of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life in northern Union County, raising millions of dollars for cancer research and patient services. Her successes lead to an invitation to join the Board of Directors of the Eastern Division of the American Cancer Society, and she currently serves as the Vice President for Board and Volunteer Development. In recognition of her service, the American Cancer Society gave Linda the St. George Award, one of the society’s highest honors, as well as the Humanitarian Award from the ACS Eastern Division. In addition to her work on behalf of cancer patients and survivors, Linda served on the Board of Directors of The Birth Center, which offers a wide range of women’s health services, and as the president of her local Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
Linda resides in Berkeley Heights with her husband of 30 years, Mark, a music teacher in the Warren Township Public Schools. They have two sons: Theo, a recent graduate of Northwestern University (and a four-year manager of the record-setting men’s basketball team); and Luke, a junior at the University of Southern California (where he plays trumpet in the renowned Spirit of Troy Marching Band). Both of her sons graduated from public schools in New Jersey. Linda graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Community Health and a Master of Science degree in Health Policy Analysis.
