Ed Broyhill was state finance leader in his father�s U. S. Senate Campaign in 1986, state finance co-chair for President George Bush�s 1988 campaign, and state finance co-chairman for Governor Jim Martin. He also served as finance chairman for Congressman Richard Burr when he was first elected in 1994 and founded Congressman Burr�s Capitol Club finance organization. He has been actively involved in many other Republican races, including former Senators Jesse Helms and Lauch Faircloth.
Broyhill earned his B. A. degree and a Master�s in Business Administration from Wake Forest University. He is married to the former Melanie Pennell and they have three children � Elizabeth, James, and Penn.
