Info | Heather Brocklesby, together with her husband Sean, have been members of the Green Party since 2003. She assisted the Alberta Greens as a volunteer in the 2004 provincial election.
She loves the global yet local vision of the Green Party – the “party of hope” and was greatly inspired by then leader Jim Harris (and provincial leader George Read) around the time of the federal election when the federal greens successfully fielded a full slate of candidates and obtained access to federal campaign financing funds for national elections.
Heather has a 3-year general arts degree “with distinction” from the University of Calgary’s faculty of communication and culture with a minor in political science. She presently works as a legal assistant at a medium sized downtown law firm.
Like Susan Stratton, Heather appreciates the way the Green Party recognizes the interdependence of the environment, the economy, and the social well-being of Albertans.
