InfoMark Zoole is a forty-four year old university professor, lawyer, and small business owner who is running as a Democrat for the seat in the Missouri House of Representatives from the 87th District. The “e” in “Zoole”, by the way, is silent; “Zoole” rhymes with “pool”.

Mark grew up attending the Ladue Schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade, graduating from Horton Watkins High School in 1981.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History from Antioch College in 1985, Mark graduated with a J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in 1988. He passed the Missouri bar in 1988 and has worked as a practicing lawyer since then, doing extensive work with all levels of government.

The focus of Mark's practice over the last fifteen years has been on representing first responders and various governmental entities in the field of constitutional law. He began his own firm, Mark Zoole & Associates, in 2005. Mark has received an “A-V” rating from the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell lawyer referral service, indicating the highest possible rating in terms of both professional competency and ethics.

For several years, Mark had volunteered his time as a guest instructor, coach, and lecturer at Washington University School of Law, In 2002, Mark was appointed an Adjunct Professor of Law at Washington University. He continues to coach the law school’s highly successful National Moot Court team and teaches appellate practice to second and third year law students.

Mark believes in the importance of finding reasonable, middle-ground solutions to the problems Missouri faces. He has supported first responders for years in his practice and wants to continue that support in the Missouri House. Mark believes strongly in supporting our public schools. Mark thoroughly supports the economic benefits that Missouri can derive from continued ethical stem cell research. An economic conservative, he opposes substantial new tax increases and feels the 87th District already pays a more than fair proportion of income and real property taxes.
