InfoFamily dinners were a focal point in the development of Renee Germain's drive and passion for politics. A firm believer in a well-founded opinion, she always kept abreast of current events, whether local, provincial or federal. Renee brings both youth and energy to the Nickel Belt riding. She believes that her northern roots and enthusiasm will appeal to the different generations in the riding.

A strong advocate against outmigration, Renee envisions a Northern Ontario that is recognized and heard by all levels of government. She believes in a reformed health care system that better caters to those all it serves, in a better environment that includes clean energy technology, in the investment of a public education that returns schools to the heart of the community and in the strength and success of all municipalities across Ontario.

Renee is part of the team that will revitalize Northern Ontario's economy, giving its residents what they rightfully deserve.

As a Tourism Marketing Officer for the City of Greater Sudbury, Renee understands the need to strive for economic diversity in order to draw more attention to the North and its issues. She studied Political Science at Laurentian University, allowing her the opportunity to both support her local post-secondary institution and stay close to her family. In order to further involve herself, Renee has chaired several student committees at Laurentian University and has volunteered for countless community events throughout Nickel Belt over the years.

This Chelmsford native hopes to represent the good people of Nickel Belt at Queen's Park starting October 11.
