| Info | Gary Zemlak is a 15-year resident of Halton on the Niagara Escarpment, proud parent and successful business person. Being raised by his grandmother with a rural upbringing has given Gary a true character of respect, teamwork and hard work, qualities he will bring to Queen’s Park as MPP for Halton.
Gary’s entrepreneurship and devotion to helping people spurred him to start his own business that has transformed ideas into reality. With a Diploma from Centennial College in Electronic Engineering Technology, Gary has worked tirelessly over the last 27 years to provide more independence to the physically challenged and seniors. Being a good listener and becoming personally involved helped accomplish his clients’ goal of a better quality of life.
As a member of the Liberal Party for over 12 years, Gary has volunteered on a number of local campaigns for the betterment of Halton families. Most recently, Gary enjoyed volunteering in the Town of Milton’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
Professionally, Gary has provided technical support to the Disabled Boaters Association, and has been a board member of the Assistive Devices Program, Ministry of Community & Social Services and the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. His work in the research and development of assistive devices for persons with disabilities has been cited in a number of publications.
Gary has also been an active member of the Parkwood Community Association and the Halton Toastmasters Association.
Gary, 57, is married to his wife, Gail, and has two children, Tyler and Kristen.
