InfoSean was born and raised in Parkwood in Northeast Philadelphia along with his two brothers and two sisters. His mother worked for the Register of Wills as a clerk for over 20 years and his father was a union representative for Boeing Vertol, as well as the Ward Leader to Ward 66B for most of Sean’s entire life. Sean is happily married to his wife, Jeanne, a legal secretary, whose family still lives in Academy Gardens. They have two children, Mary and Sean, and are expecting their third child in March 2007.

Sean graduated from George Washington High School in 1986. He Varsity lettered in three sports: track & field; baseball; and football. In addition, he was honored his senior year in football as a first team All Public Linebacker. GW’s football team broke several records that year, such as first to win the Public League’s Northern Division, first to beat Frankford High School, and first to go to the Public League Championship game. Sean then worked his way through Temple University and graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice. He later returned to school and went to The Samuel Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania where he was taught by local, state and world leaders and received his master’s degree in Government Administration.

Sean continues to have close ties to his surrounding community through his employment and hobbies. Sean is presently Director at Franklin Towne Charter High School where he also fills in as a bus driver and is assistant coach to the school’s varsity baseball team. Sean also is a PIAA Certified Football Official for the Public & Suburban Leagues and a member of the Central Board Football Officials for the Archdiocese. He loves working with kids and realizes how important it is that they have a secure future.

Sean has learned from being a Community Planning Liaison for Councilman-At-Large James F. Kenney how important quality of life is and the effects that the lack of such qualities have on a community. Sean also has worked for the Philadelphia Common Pleas Courts in several different capacities, such as Warrant Officer, Judicial Tipstaff for The Honorable William J. Manfredi, Settlement Master, Discovery Court Manager, and Court Crier for both Criminal and Civil Courtrooms.

Sean also is a member of the 2nd District PDAC, the 7th District PDAC, and is Co-Chairman to the 8th District PDAC. He is a member of Temple University Alumni Board, Vice Chairman of the Ashton Town Watch, and a Democratic Committeeperson. He was also the 1999 Honoree for Volunteers of the Philadelphia Prisons Systems for teaching the legal system to adolescents in various Philadelphia prisons and schools. Sean previously umpired youth baseball and softball for many years.
