| Info | Scott Raes is a life-long resident of the city’s third ward. He was elected to the City Council in May of 2003 to represent the Ward 3. His current term will expire on May 1, 2007.
Alderman Raes actively supports a strong working relationship between the Moline School Board and the City Council. He also serves as the City’s liaison to the Park Board and is a member of the Project Management Team.
Alderman Raes is active in the community as past President and current member of both Moline Kiwanis and The Center for Belgian Culture. He is a current board member of the Quad City Crime Stoppers, Moline Centre Partners and also belongs to the Quad City Estate Planning Council. He is a 2002 graduate of the Illinois Quad Cities Chamber Leadership Academy.
A 1977 graduate of Moline High School and a 1981 graduate of St. Ambrose University, Alderman Raes received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He is employed as a Vice President and Trust Officer at American Bank & Trust.
In his free time, he serves as an assistant coach for youth sports. He is an advisor for the Moline Key Club and the Augustana Circle K Club. He and his wife Debbie have two children.
