It’s hard to know exactly what the owners of Wacko’s were thinking when they dreamed up their Emerson Street show-bar/restaurant: “Hey, I’ve got an idea! Let’s open a bikini bar where scantily clad women dance for money and start a casual restaurant serving some of the best fast food in town.” Whatever the logic, Mr. Wacko’s stumbled onto something big. Wacko’s looks like any old strip club, replete with mirrors, chrome, colored lights and attractive women gyrating in their bikinis. But check out the full bar and extensive lunch and dinner menu -- including one of Digital City’s picks for Best Burger! In no time, you’ll forget you’re in a building with no windows just off the Interstate and had to pay a cover to get in. It should come as no surprise that Wacko’s has become quite the popular spot for lunch meetings between Baymeadows and Downtown professionals -- unless, of course, you’re a woman. Unescorted ladies are not permitted.
