| Info | Chris Hagenow, 36, is a sixth-generation Iowan who lives in Windsor Heights with his wife Amanda and newborn son Owen. In December 2007, Chris announced his candidacy for the Iowa House, when current State Representative Dan Clute announced his retirement. On June 3, Chris won the Republican Primary by a convincing 58-42 margin, defeating a well-known and well-funded opponent. Chris is now looking forward to meeting all the voters of the district and sharing his vision for a stronger Iowa.
Chris graduated from Northern University High School in Cedar Falls, and went on to receive his B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa Magna Cum Laude in 1994. Chris earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1997, and is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association. Chris practiced law in Waterloo and Des Moines, followed by five years as a Manager for American Airlines at the Des Moines International Airport. Since 2004, Chris has worked for c wenger group of Urbandale as a project manager and data analyst. Amanda Hagenow is a native of Searsboro, and is a graduate of Iowa State University. Amanda works part time with Hy-Vee at their corporate offices in West Des Moines.
