Rep. Juanita Head Walton, a Democrat, represents part of North St. Louis County (District 81) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

When Rep. Walton was elected she served as the director of Grace Hill Women's Business Center. She has also worked as a trainer for St. Louis Community College, an instructor at Alabama State University and administrator for Maritz Performance Improvement Company in Fenton, Mo.

Rep. Walton is a member of Coleman-Wright C.M.E. Church, where she serves as a missionary, former trustee and former usher. She is also a member of the Halls Ferry Township; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Gamma Omega Chapter; Archway Chapter of the Links; National Order of Women Legislators (NOWL), treasurer; National Foundation of Women Legislators (NWFL); National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL); Missouri Legislative Black Caucus; and Missouri Black Caucus Foundation.

Rep. Walton has been honored by the St. Louis Job Corp, Sentinel Newspaper, Lincoln University Alumni and St. Louis Public Schools. She is the granddaughter of Willie Head, the first African American mayor in the state of Missouri--Kinloch, Mo., 1948.

A graduate of Kinloch High School, Rep. Walton received her bachelor of science degree in business administration from Lincoln University, and a master's degree in corporate communications from Lindenwood College.

Born in St. Louis, Rep. Walton resides there with her husband, attorney Elbert A. Walton, Jr. They have two sons, Elbert III, who serves in the U.S. Army and Johnathan, a sophomore at Florida A&M.
