Description | Ousted Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore says he doesn't have aspirations of seeking other elected offices - he just wants his old job back.
Moore, who was in Huntsville Thursday night to view the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Von Braun Center, said he has no plans to seek a higher elected position, and has not formed any exploratory committees to study a run for office. His priority is to have his removal from office reversed on appeal, he said.
Political speculation began swirling in Montgomery after Moore's removal in December that he might try to parlay the national media attention his Ten Commandments fight generated into a bid for the U.S. Senate this year. |
