Description | "Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal says he will not seek a third term in office.
Freudenthal's announcement Thursday ends long-running speculation that the popular Democrat might mount a court challenge seeking to overturn a state law that prohibits statewide elected officials from serving three consecutive terms.
The 59-year-old governor says not running again is the right decision for him, his wife Nancy Freudenthal and for the state.
Several prominent Wyoming Republicans have announced that they will seek their party's nomination to run for governor this fall. No Democrats have announced yet that they will run." |
