South Carolina Republican Gov. Mark Sanford cautioned party activists that Tea Party 2.0, the tele-town hall he is hosting with fellow Gov. Rick Perry (R-Texas), “won’t be as good” as the original series of anti-tax Tea Party rallies.

“Let me give you a disclaimer up front, which is, it won't be as good as the first round of tea parties,” Sanford said during an interview Wednesday night with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren.

The Republican Governors Association is orchestrating the call and said Tuesday that it is expecting 30,000 people to participate.

Both governors will speak for a few minutes at the beginning of the call before opening up the forum to up to an hour of listener-submitted questions.

“I'm not a technology guy, and so it's been explained to me,” Sanford said of the format. “It'll be somewhat awkward.”
