Description | BLOOMFIELD — As election day looms and campaign signs continue to appear on corners across the county, one Bloomfield man is preaching something different.
Meet Carl Peskor, the atypical American voter.
Peskor, 77, owns The Landmark RV Campground east of Bloomfield, where he greets customers with this line:
"Are you looking for a space, or publicity?"
Peskor moved to the United States from Canada four decades ago but until this year never got to vote. He was naturalized in March, and shortly afterward launched a campaign in support of Ralph Nader. He's the lone Nader campaign volunteer in San Juan County, and part of a team of about 40 volunteers statewide. |
