Description | LEBANON - RoseMarie Swanger, R-North Lebanon Twp., has announced that she will run again for the 102nd legislative district in the state House of Representatives.
Swanger, 62, defeated longtime incumbent Peter Zug in 2006 as part of the reform movement that swept the primary elections. She said Tuesday she wants to run again "because our reform work is certainly not done. As a matter of fact, we did very little."
She said she would love to see a constitutional convention that would "allow all the issues to be put before the people."
"I'm disappointed," she said. "Every freshman legislator ran in 2006 on the same mantra, but some got up here and got ingrained in the status quo ... I'm not a quitter, and we will have more new people next year."
Swanger is the first to announce her candidacy for the 102nd district. She was a Lebanon County commissioner from 1984 to 2004. |
