| Description | (COLUMBIA) - The South Carolina Chapter of the Sierra Club has named Attorney General Henry McMaster their 2004 "Elected Official of the Year."
The group says McMaster is the first non-legislator to win the award. The Sierra Club says it chose the Attorney General for proposing an environmental crimes bill to state legislators.
The bill was passed into law this year and grants the state grand jury the authority to investigate environmental crimes. |
