Description | According to a recent article in the Miami Herald, a new poll of 500
likely voters conducted by California-based pollster John Fairbank,
indicates that twenty-one (21%) of voters favor former county commissioner
Miguel Diaz de la Portilla followed by county commissioner Jimmy Morales
sixteen percent (16%); school board member Marta Perez nine percent (9%);
businessman Jay Love seven (7%); Miami-Dade Police Director Carlos Alvarez
six (6%) and Jose Cancela three percent (3%).
"Despite the early numbers, this is still a wide open race, thirty-eight
percent (38%) of likely voters are still undecided on who they will vote for
as our next mayor", said Anthony Verdugo, Chairman, Christian Family
