| Description | This west-central Calgary riding is bordered on the south and west by the city limits, on the east mostly by Sarcee Trail, and on the north by Winter Heights. In the 2004 redistribution the riding lost small areas in the east to Calgary-Bow, Calgary-Buffalo and Calgary-Currie.
The average household income is $99,592, while home values run to $253,000, Alberta's third highest. Professional services are the big employer, followed by the oil-and-gas sector. This is the province's third-best-educated riding, with almost 70 per cent of adults holding college or university degrees. It has a below-average rate of residents considered low income at 8.7 per cent. More than one in five residents are immigrants, another 45 per cent were born in Alberta, and one per cent are aboriginal. |
